Chesney takes a beating in jealous hoodie attack over Kayleigh

There's trouble in store for Chesney Brown. The ginger-haired star is now at the centre of a controversial scene where he is beaten by a gang of thugs. Chesney, played by Sam Aston, is attacked by badboy ringleader Kenzie and his hoodies while on a date with Kayleigh Morton, played by Jessica Barden. After giving Kayleigh a silver cross and finally getting a kiss, the happy moment turns ugly as jealous Kenzie sees them locking lips.

Despite a brave attempt at fighting, Chesney is punched to the ground repeatedly until Kayleigh manages to pull them apart. The boy is left with a bloody nose - but still wins the girl.

The scenes are sure to stir up the subject of violent teenagers which is gripping the country at the moment. A source told The Sun: "The writers want to reflect the growing problem of gang crime in our cities. They're handling it in a sensitive manner and showing how the most vulnerable often fall victim to gang crimes."

After this, Chesney should become a steroid injecting bodybuilder and, along with building a massive frame, should build a deep-seated hatred for these neds. Then, in later years, come back to have an Incredible Hulk style revenge! But I bet they just call the police... haha

SHY Corrie ginger nut Chesney Battersby-Brown is ready to become the top soap’s most unlikely ladies’ man. The mild-mannered youngster will lose his virginity to sexy newcomer Kat Armstrong. Chesney, played by Sam Aston, 16, will bed the stunning brunette in saucy scenes to be screened in October. But he’s in for a tough time when Kat’s bad-tempered dad Owen finds out exactly what he’s been up to with his youngest daughter. And Owen is not a man to be crossed – a fact that Chesney realises just days after his first sex session.

A Corrie insider told the Daily Star Sunday: “We have all seen Chesney grow up so it’s going to be a huge milestone for him and the viewers. We all remember that sweet little kid who first arrived in the Street with his mum Cilla. But that was seven years ago and he’s about to become a man. The storyline will be handled responsibly and the two characters will discuss what contraceptives to use. Kat arrives in the Street later this month to visit her sister Izzy and is instantly attracted to Chesney. She loves the fact that he flogs stuff down the market and he can’t believe his luck when she asks him out. She’s absolutely gorgeous and he really couldn’t have asked for a sexier first girlfriend.”

The source added: “Sam was over the moon when he was told what his bosses had planned for the character. “He’s nearly 17 and was more than keen to start filming his first sex scenes.” The Corrie insider added: “They’re both really loved-up by the time they decide that they are ready to take their relationship to the next level. “But Owen finds out what they’ve been up to and hits the roof. So don’t expect the course of young love to run smoothly.”

Kat is played by 19-year-old Georgia May Foote, who has previously featured in Grange Hill, Heartbeat and rival soap Emmerdale. She will first be seen later this month. Sam, from Bacup, Lancs, quickly became a show favourite after joining Corrie in 2003 and scooped the Best Newcomer gong at the National Television Awards.
