Corrie's Jimmi on 'big reveal'

Coronation Street's Jimmi Harkishin has revealed he wanted Tara's revenge over his character Dev to be kept under wraps for as long as possible. Fans have been kept in the dark about what Tara (Ayesha Dharker) has done to humiliate her fiance - and all will be revealed in Monday's episode.

Jimmi told the ITV site: "The thing that's happening to Dev is a massive moment - there aren't many acting references so what I'm trying to do is make sure the first time Dev sees it is the first time I see it." Talking about his popular alter ego, Jimmi added: "One of the things about Dev is he's just that close to being the perfect, perfect person. He's just so close, but it might as well be a mile wide."

As for Tara's reaction to his philandering ways, the star admitted: "Maybe he brings out the worst in people. They're not like that before they meet him are they?"
