I've watched subtitled films so am not opposed to this but ultimately it all depends on the content. Some "foreign" stuff translates well, others don't.

Ever since radioman posted the asian tv link, I've done nothing but watch asian tv now. I download the bbuk and the two main soaps in regards to UK stuff, but I can't get enough of the asian tv. I love foreign films and I hate it when they are dubbed. I like them in their original language. It takes away from the film when it's dubbed.

Hey thanks again radioman, you opened a whole new world to me and my sister back in February. thumbs thumbs :star: :star:

I don't mind watching stuff with subtitles. If it is good, then I don't even notice I'm reading anything. It just becomes part of the language.

I'm nuts for Japanese and Chinese movies in their original formats so I do it quite often.

based on just 7% of the vote (which is good enough for the networks Crying ) I guess I'll be posting what I can find.

Some game shows and some soaps. (funny/sad)

let the leaching begin!!

They say you burn more calories reading then when you watch tv so why not do both at once and get twice the workout? Smile

I watch subtitled american tv so of course I would! With 3 kids I watch subtitles with everything ... I have them trained now ... Even the 4 year old says "mommy put the words on." But then again this is the child who insisted on watching Madagascar in german or turkish even though english was available!
