'Coronation Street' actors Roy and Hayley Cropper are set to star with Becky Granger in a new spinoff from the soap set in Romania.

'Coronation Street's Roy and Hayley Cropper will star with Becky Granger in a spinoff show. The cast members will star in a comedy offshoot from the ITV soap set in Romania and set to be released later in the year. In the programme, Roy, played by David Neilson and Hayley (Julie Hesmondhalgh) will be invited to the Eastern European state by a face from their past, who is getting married to a football star from the country.

The trip contains many mishaps and pitfalls - including Hayley and Roy missing the nuptials - before their relaxing break is further upset by the arrival of another couple, the brash Verity and Glen, prompting them to cut their holiday short. Events then take a surprise twist when the couple get home and meet their adopted daughter Becky Granger (Katherine Kelly).

Actors David and Julie are also currently backing charity NSPCC's 'Stop for Tea' campaign - where people are encouraged to hold a sponsored tea party, tea break or even a golf 'tee-off' to raise funds for the charity's 'Child's Voice Appeal'. David said: "All cuppa lovers can get involved, whether it is at home with family and friends or in the workplace with colleagues, clients and customers. All you need to do is pour the tea, have fun and raise lots of money to help give children and young people a safer future."
