I was tinkering around on the net today and was surprised to find this. I'm a big Google Earth and other virtual mapping fan, but somehow I'd never come across this before.
A couple of weeks ago, Sue (my wife) was frustrated that there were no clear maps of Vienna city centre. All the available maps were full of obscuring 3D drawings or had the street names printed so small as to be nearly unreadable. I messed around with Bling maps & Google Earth and finally found a good compromise for her to wander around with (she's not technology friendly). After all my efforts, it was not a patch on what is available here, for free. This is the clearest city mapping I've seen.
One word of caution. It's a wiki map. Anyone with an account can log-in and contribute. In the first 5 mins I used it, I found one street with the wrong name. Anyway, it looks useful, I think.
