Mores the pity, modern! I was happy to see how many other punters out there chose Bale, Dawson and Modric. I invited my brother to have a team and he thought it would be more fun if we did it together (we also do a prediction league together). Good thing we can't change the entire team every week! Boy the discussion sessions would have to start on Monday! Good thing neither of us have opinions about football!
We are defo having fun though.
I hope Harry has them running their paces for FINISHING some of those beautiful runs though. We will see Tuesday night... |

I saw some clips of yesterday's game and it really did look like the Man City goalkeeper was the hero of the day. Some great saves for sure. |

now ive recovered from saturday i can try and put it into words.
first time ive ever seen a team battered 0-0, we can use the old " team needs to gel excuse " so i will, some only had a week or so with the team. that only really helps the likes of silva and yaya and theres no excusing richards and swp, they were awful as usual.
seeing as bale missed the wales game with double aids or some illness he looked fantastic, ripped our right flank apart everytime and if it wasent for hart it could and should have been 5-0 halftime
still hate redknapp tho |

Yep, Hart was defo the man of the match, so to speak. He stopped everything. The fact that it could/should have been 5-0 at halftime and wasn't is what has me worried. We score precious little as it is, we really need to put the ball in the net. Our strikers really need to focus on finishing. All of them missed clear goals. Ok, it was only the first game of the season, so I will stop bitching, but...the ball needs to go in...I'm just sayin'... |

players like defoe will score goals given chances and bale, modric and that beast in the middle can make enough
id be more worried that your settled team couldnt beat our cobbled together mess, add to that champs league games and it could be a tricky season with your thin squad |

Indeed... could have been a hatful.
Tonight was another rollercoaster.... all being well we will manage to penetrate the Young Boys much deeper next week.... |

But they were given chances and didn't finish... I am going to be a wreck until we start scoring... |

I am still sorta stressed about the scoring...don't get me wrong, a win is a win and we got more goals than they did (thanks, Gareth!) but I would like to see more involvement from the guys who are paid to score. Now, fair play, we only had ONE striker on the pitch, but still...I am just a nervous nellie! |

The Spurs game is on live here tonight - I might give it a watch as I don't think I've ever seen them play a full game before |

That was a good game - they actually looked like a very good team in the conditions. |
