I guess, Face, but really? 65 years later, does it matter? They were doing what they thought was right and we were doing the same. It was settled and an apology almost 3/4 of century later really won't change anything...It's is a nice gesture and all, but... |

Many of the women who were forced into prostitution as 'comfort women' are still alive and their children have suffered the fallout of that particular war crime. I don't think that's unimportant. But there are many other war crimes on both sides which should also never be forgotten - not least because they will be and are repeated. |

I agree, not forgotten, certainly not forgotten....but apologized for? Just sounds like lip service to me...but that is just my humble opinion. |

But the Japanese government has never even done that much before. It really is a step forward in that sense. |
