Rotten Tea-Baggers in America's Heartland
Another typical Republican-funded rally in the midwest of the ever compassionate U.S.A.:
Health Bill Protesters Jeer at Man with Parkinsons Disease
By David Edwards and Sahil Kapur
Wednesday, March 17th, 2010 -- 9:57 am
The passion against health care reform has elevated to such a level that protesters on Tuesday mocked an apparent Parkinson's Disease victim, scorning him as a "communist" who is looking for "handouts."
Protesters on both ends of the health care debate squared off in competing rallies outside the Columbus, Ohio office of district Rep. Mary Jo Kilroy (D-OH), who says she's undecided on her vote for the bill.
A wrinkled, kneeling man holding a stick crawled up to a group opposing the effort with a sign saying he's "got Parkinson's" and needs help.
"If you're looking for a handout you're in the wrong end of town," one man yelled at him. "Nothing for free over here, you have to work for everything you get."
Parkinson's is an incurable and degenerative brain disorder that impairs the victim's speech, motor skills and various other functions.

I'm not very happy with the 'Insurance Reform bill' as it presently stands, and hopefully it can be improved over time...but the process has been impossible...and with these kinds of folks rallying against it, and this promise from the evil Limbaugh:
http://jonathanturley.org/2010/03/10/irresistible-offer-limbaugh-promises-to-move-to-costa-rica-if-health-care-passes/
I'm really glad to finally see Obama on the stump, pushing hard for the Bill's passage! Good-riddance Rush...and enjoy the socialist, government run health-care in Costa Rica, where the people have a type of hospitality, and a generosity of spirit, that we can only dream of in the U.S.A.!!!
Where, oh where, has my country gone? |

I've seen so many people online making comments like that when confronted with a compassionate situation, but to do it in person is really bastard twisted.
If I'd seen something like that I'd still be there now, ripping their shit-filled heads off - figuratively of course... |

Yes, Faceless, this is really hard to deal with, and it's been going on for way too long, and it does not get the journalistic play that it deserves...I have to wonder how a country that calls itself 'Christian' and a 'human rights' leader, can sit by, and give credence to this crap being funded by a major political party...brings to mind Galloway's recent article posted here:

Seems he see's it coming to your country in a racial way...where a major party uses hatred, or racism (same bottom line), to further their political agenda, 'citizens be damned'!
I have to admit, that I have been seeing this for my entire life in my country...but in the past it would be dealt with by the journalists we seem to have lost. I guess shooting and killing them in Iraq, and disappearing them here (ala Gary Webb, Micheal Ruppert, etc.) has taken it's toll. A world run by bullies is our fate? |
