Conspiracy theory alert!

Apparently Rangers are the greatest team in the world and the fact that they're failing is not because of bad management, oh no, it's down to the authorities in Manchester not being able to handle 'The Scots' and setting up a conspiracy to defeat Scotland as a result. And football is the opium of the masses too...

crikey.

An appeal is being made on behalf of Rangers fc. Could you spare £2 a month to sponsor a hun? Just £2 a month could get a Rangers player a good wash or teach them how to interact with human beings. This appeal is being made on behalf of the Help A Hun Association, or HAHA for short..

That is like $3 here...not sure...that is an awful lot of money. I would really have to think seriously about that kind of investment.

So Face, what do you think about the idea of Celtic and Rangers moving to the EPL? I am sure that this is an old conversation, but I just read an interview with Harry Redknapp and he is all for it. You are the only person I know that follows an SPL team and I just wondered what you thought...

I think it would be a good plan really, though I'm not sure how it would work as a lot of the smaller teams who move between the Premier League and the Championship would be dead against it.

It would probably be good for Scottish football also as Celtic and Rangers are pretty much the only teams that get the chance at decent European money, so the 'poverty gap' grows every year stopping the less popular teams here to lose out and they'd get the chance to win a few cups and build their own support.

Of course, the prices to get into games would probably sky-rocket if it did happen.

Speaking of Glasgow, are you (Faceless) going to see George at one of his talks this week?

What are ticket prices like in Scotland, Face? I know what it costs to get into a decent seat in the Lane. It will be interesting to see the comparison.

Yeah, alot cheaper. Last Spurs game I went to (now mind you these were second row because I read the map wrong) was 50 pounds. Sorry for sending the thread astray, I was just curious...

'Gonnae gie's some cash or ah'm gonnae burst intae tears!'

This is some guy who's put forward a plan to save Rangers by asking 45000 fans to give in £1000 to make the £45m required.

The plan might be a good one if he found more fans so that they could contribute less....and of course if he were to match what ever was donated! Seriously, that is how the Green Bay Packers are structured. The town and the fans own them. As far as I know they don't have some rich but doesn't know anything about sports guy pulling the purse strings.
