Up to 120,000 people have marched in Dublin in protest at how the Government is handling the economic crisis. The march, which was organised by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (Ictu), took nearly one and a half hours to make its way from Parnell Square to Merrion Square.

With the recent scandals surrounding the banking crises, rising unemployment and more and more people facing homelessness it is heartening to see so many people turned out. Lets hope this growing anger is heard by our government |

That's quite impressive for sure - when you think that the population of Ireland is only about 4 million, that's one in every 40 people in the country. That would mean a march of 1.5million people in Britain, or 7.5million in America. Proper people power! |
