canada day?! i laugh but i'm sure i remember brown talking about us having a britain day or something - i think we'll all eat curry, get drunk on foreign beer and invade some country for their resources
whats the origins of canada day? it just seems a bizarre concept that a country would have a country day! surely everydays canada day in canada?!
hope all you canadians have a good day anyway let us know what happens over there |

I think it used to be called Dominion Day before we wrote up our own constitution. Quite honestly, I don't even know if the date is significant in our history. But it's a good excuse to take the day off work and watch some fireworks. Now if it was "Legalize Pot" day that would be interesting.
Good luck on your aspirations, Faceless. There's plenty of room for all, imo. Any ideas on where in Canada you'd like to live? |

well I was thinking about British Columbia because of the decriminalised cannabis - I also had an aunt who lived in Victoria and it always looked a nice place. |

Kitchener's only about an hour and 15 min from me Aja! I've been there many times. And you're right --- it gets damn cold here in the winter!!!
Happy Canada Day to all |

Yeah but, what SORT of cold is it?
I found out my own way in Czech. Britain has weather, Czech has seasons. |

-44?!?! i worked fitting sensors in an iceland distribution depot once - it was minus 17 in there, you'd walk in and the hairs in your nostrils would all freeze up! the worst thing was whilst we were doing that they had this heated forklift trucks driving around and they was all wearing shorts and teeshirts! i can't imagine what -44 would be like |
