When I heard this on the news I was shocked and saddened. I have always liked watching him on television and enjoyed his reporting style. He gave me the feeling that he was a genuine man and would have been easy to talk to. My heart goes out to his family. With it being so close to Father's Day I am sure it will make the blow even a bit harder. His elderly father is without his only son and his own young son has now lost his father.
He will be missed. |

I genuinely liked Tim Russert also. He seemed like a good guy and I remember when he went on various talk shows promoting his book. Just a down to earth guy. I couldn't believe it when I read on Yahoo that he died. What a shame, he'll be missed. :-( |

In addition to his family, he will be missed by perhaps millions of Americans. If you're in another country and are not familiar with him, you need only read the story posted here to get an idea of how highly respected and special he was. A great loss.
I'm sure tomorrow's Meet the Press will be very a wonderful tribute.
I wonder if the cause of his death will be a heart attack or a blood clot after his flight from Italy? |

I'd not heard of him or it before... still, anyone who exposes politicians for liars has to be worth their salt. |
