French Intelligence Service in a report on Tuesday revealed that real damages the Zionist regime suffered during its 33-Day War against the Lebanese Islamic Resistance Movement of Hezbollah were far more than what was mentioned by the regime.
Despite the claims made by the Zionist regime that only 19 Zionist soldiers were killed during the imposed war in 2006 summer, the report said the war left 2,300 Zionist soldiers killed and 700 more injured.
The report also revealed that some 160 Zionists' tanks were damaged, 65 more were completely destroyed, 65 Zionist soldiers hidden in the Lebanese home were trapped under derbies and 24 soldiers were killed in "Saer" gunboat, which was exploded by Hezbollah fighters, while the Zionist officials had announced four killed in the gunboat.
The report reiterated that the arrest of two Zionist soldiers by Hezbollah was only a pretext by the Zionists to wage the war, adding the real reason behind the attack was a plot joinly hatched by America and the Zionist regime.
The report adedd that Washington had told Tel Aviv that since it was involved in quagmire of Iraq, America could not help the occupying regime with extra forces, but it could equip the regime with weapons including cluster bombs.
The Zionist army's humiliating defeat in the war against Hezbollah has led to expulsion of a number of high ranking military figures of the regime.

Most of the numbers seem plausible (though unsubstantiated). Except for the dead vs. injured. One would expect many more injured than actually killed.
While the article does give off the scent of propaganda (repeated use of the term 'Zionist'), it merits scrutiny.
The scale of the Israeli bombardment on civilians and infrastructure might lend credibility to the idea of the army being caught with their pants down. |

thats a huge loss of soldiers for israel if it was really 2,300 - in 33 days, that would be the biggest loss for a powerful state in a single battle for a long long time ... i'm not sure i believe it - they'd have nuked lebanon if it had got like that! you could understand why they'd try to hide it if its true, but thats a lot of parents and friends of the dead who've been quiet on it ... that many dead, that story would have broke somehow ... |
