I bought a 300gb HD a few weeks ago to work as an external in a USB box. The problem is that it's suddenly stopped working and now says 'the directory is corrupt' when I try to look at it.
So, I got the NTFS recovery program from www.diskinternals.com and it seems to work, but I'm not up for paying for it, so if anyone knows a similar freeware program I'd appreciate it. I've looked about, but there's so much guff to wade through. |

nice one, I'll give it a go - over the past couple of weeks I'd been filling the thing up with all sorts of movies etc so it would be a bugger to have to start again. |

I couldn't get that download working from that site - it keeps timing out. Any chance you could put it on humyo? |
