I'm trying to find a replacement power supply for a Q-Tec L-DT 350 Black (ATX) for a friend, but no luck at all - the problem is that it's not a standard size. It's 155x85x120mm. If anyone has any experience of stuff like this I'd appreciate some help.

You could try http://cpc.farnell.com/ though the hassle of changing a powersupply might be only marginally less than buying an ATX box which comes with powersupply. Ebuyer.com has them for around £30 (though haven't checked recently). |

replacing the power supply is a lot easier than putting the motherboard etc into a new box.
thanks anyway |

It's a bit odd to hear that the power supply (PSU) is not standard. Can you send more info on the case (make/model) and PSU? I'll poke around and see what I can come up with.
To my understanding, the PSU dimensions may differ, but if you have an ATX form-factor case (for example) any ATX PSU will fit in it. As long as it fits in the case, the screw holes at the back should line up.
Whoops! A quick google search found this:

Should be plenty to go on... I'll get back to you. |

yeah, that's the very model, and I was there earlier, but I don't want to pay £32 just for a power supply (and it's out of stock anyway...)
the power supply is 155x85x120mm - the 120mm is the problem, most are 140mm or 150mm wide. |

that does look really close, but there's no tolerance in the space in the case at all - maybe a mallet would do the trick... |

Can you post a photo of the PSU inside the case (if you haven't removed it yet)? I'm amazed that there's so little room for the PSU.
What is the make/model of the current PSU? Perhaps we can find the exact same one. |
