OK, I just made this up... I'm sure it's been thought of before but I've never heard it. It's really lame, but I chuckled.

Question: Why is Islam incompatible with Capitalism?

Answer: They're not allowed to draw a profit.

haha yeah, that is good, though, and this is boring.

Hidden: 
the joke would technically work better if you made the question 'Why is Islamic banking incompatible with capitalism?'. It should then cover you for any fatwas!

Just to put the matter straight, Islam and Islamic banking are ALL IN FAVOUR of making profits -- indeed, the market place to buy/sell goods is about profit. It is only interest on money which is forbidden .. since the aim is for profit (and thus risk) sharing.

Well you are also allowed to draw the Prophet, but no joke bears that close an examination.

My comment was purely to help prevent nekokate being issued with a fatwa (!!), because in the case I mentioned there would be some question as to her desire to cause offence.

I hope that's helped clear this important matter up.
