Need Some Help Burning DVD's

I have used Roxio software for burning VCD's since I learned how a few years ago. New computer last year and it's a Dell. Bought this one so I could also burn DVD's. Have problems with burning DVD's using Roxio and bought the newer version Creator 9 series off Ebay to save a bit. Still can't get them to burn. Much googling and looks like it is a common problem with Roxio and Dell that is not "fixable." This I weekend downloaded the free trial of Nero to try and test. It did work and was able to burn a couple of movies and a couple of tv shows like Shameless & Jeeves & Wooster.

Was a bit behind on watching EastEnders and burned 4 to a DVD and have excellent pictures, NO SOUND. All other shows I had d/l did burn with sound. I changed the suffix to .AVI like Face suggested when he went to Humyo's site. Would that have anything thing to do with the sound not recording or do I need to make some type of changes in Nero to get sound. So odd since other shows do have it so I know the program works.

Thanks for any suggestions to a non- technical person.

The problem sounds to be because I use .wma for audio on most of the files I put up. I'm surprised the nero software doesn't read it, but on a quick look about it seems that if you get this plugin for Nero it should sort it.

I just tried the downloads and only the one from Romania seems to be working. Hopefully that will sort you out.

I got this file downloaded and tried to install and at the end get error message: you do not have Nero Burning ROM, Media Player & Nero Mix. So have tried several times to download from various sites for the free trial offer for those items. On install two require a serial # to continue and I don'thave them so can't proceed with install of the file you provided the link on. Am going to abandon the cause now as I was only trying to burn to catch up on the TV and not sit at the computer. As mentioned on all other files the sound works and this is something I would do rarely.

Much appreciated Face. Perhaps, after the trial expires and I might get a good price on the complete Nero package I might try to buy it then. Having spent the $40 last month on the Roxio funds are shot for this UN necessary expense now. Thanks Again for the help. May get to d/l and install it when I upgrade to Nero.

ok, if you go to this page you can get a copy of the latest Nero with a keymaker included. Once you've installed the program run the keymaker (or keygen) and that will give you the serial number.
