**Should be easy to capture from the web**

Respect MP George Galloway's weekly television show, which launched last year, is
back from Sunday 10 Feb for a 13 week season.

The show is an independent production and is hosted on the Press TV channel,
which also carries a weekly programme by Andrew Gilligan, the journalist driven out
of the BBC over the David Kelly affair.

Galloway's show returns just days after the radio industry's Rajar listing reported that
TalkSPORT, where he has a weekend radio show, has achieved record audience
figures of 2.45 million a week.

"Now I'll be pounding the airwaves on Friday and Saturday nights through radio, and
on Sunday through satellite TV, pumping out a message that will ruffle the feathers of
the high and mighty," says Galloway.

"Add to that all the public meetings – 135 people turned up in one small part of my
constituency on Saturday - , rallies and talking to people face to face and you have a
powerful antidote to the pro-war corporate media.

"We'll be seeking provocative interviews and guests, which break the dull conformity
that dominates so much of our media. As on my radio show, if there's a point of view
out there, I want to hear it and engage with it. MPs do too little of that, and there aren't
that many doing at the weekend, that's for sure."

Does Press TV have a channel on Sky? Either way, i don't think it's on Virgin, so a web capture it will have to be, unless someone out there can record stuff off sky?

right enough yeah, it is quite good quality - though I seem to remember it didn't buffer that well, and I'm sure there will be a lot of viewers for the first show which will likely affect it.

My fear is that Presstv I think has it's servers in Iran [I am NOT 100% definite on this] and that the recent 5 submarine cable cuts will severly affect the traffic.

Though I think the shows are recorded in any case, and not real-time {but I can be mistaken again on this}, so people shouldn't all rush at the same time to see it.

I've just checked and the broadcast starts at 8:05pm GMT this evening.

If I can get a decent recording of it, it will be available later as a direct download.

Great.

FYI, the show is pre-recorded, but I wonder if PressTV will add the URL link after the 1st broadcast so viewers can see old shows.

well, that's the first time I've sat through an episode of The Real Deal and I wasn't that impressed at all. The timing was all off at points and I don't think it does Galloway any favours to be reading off an autocue so much. Also, there was a fair amount of audio disruption on the stream, but I'll sort that out as much as I can.

The video should be available to download from the main Galloway section in an hour or so.

I think this was only one 30 min episode (though PressTV schedule indicated a 2nd half hour show afterwards -- but it was news instead)

I am kind of dreading seeing this - a lot of the other Real Deal shows were so badly produced it was below George. Uncomfortable silences with him staring at the screen, etc. If he can only get a TV show on utterly shit channels, he might as well not have a TV show at all. The radio show is brilliant, because TalkSport is a hugely professional organisation.

The problem is if you put a solid gold cog in a machine that is otherwise bollocks, you're not going to rescue it.

I don't think George was reading of an auto-cue.

I preferred this show to the old show on the Sky Platform. It seems to be in a better studio.
