EASTENDERS heart-throb Rob Kazinsky is quitting the show – to try his luck in Hollywood.
Rob, who plays Albert Square bad boy Sean Slater, has negotiated an early release from his BBC1 contract and been signed by Brad Pitt’s agent, who hopes to get him a big-money role.
But Rob, who has been in the soap since August 2006, will carry on filming until October and remain on our screens for nearly another year.
An insider said: “He’s desperate to be a Hollywood star.
“He’s ambitious, which Americans love, and easy on the eye – the first thing that Hollywood producers look at.”
EastEnders bosses are yet to decide what to do with Rob’s character.
One insider claimed he will not be killed off – so Rob could return.
Our source said: “Sean’s a wildman so it would be reasonable for his character to come and go.” |

another source:
Walford actors Rob Kazinsky and Mo George have quit their respective EastEnders roles.
Kazinksy – who first appeared as Albert Square's Sean Slater in August last year – has reportedly been taken on by Brad Pitt's agent who has high hopes for him in Hollywood.
A source told The Sun: "He's desperate to be a Hollywood star. He's ambitious, which Americans love, and easy on the eye – the first thing that Hollywood producers look at."
The 24-year-old actor will remain filming at the soap's Elstree home until October, continuing on-screen until the end of the year. The fate of his character has yet to be decided.
Meanwhile, Mo George – who has played market sweeper Gus Smith since 2002 – has agreed to bow out of the BBC soap by "mutual consent".
Of his exit, a BBC spokeswoman said: "As the character did not have any big plots coming up it was agreed Mohammed would leave. He is in talks with the BBC about other projects."
Both actors were suspended from the show for two months in the early part of last year – Kazinsky for sending lewd text messages to a model and George over suspicion of causing actual bodily harm to partner Emma Archibald. |

I like Gus. I'll miss him when he's gone.
Aren't some characters just supporting rules which other major characters play off of? Why would they get rid of a good chararacter like Gus? |

It's a shame about the Gus character. I've always liked him. But they do nothing with him.
As for Sean leaving, good riddance to bad rubbish. |

Ah well, I liked Sean the bad boy character on Eastenders. Maybe he'll be back if he doesn't hit it big in Hollywood. |

Don't think I'll miss either of them. They could have done so much with Sean's character but really never did and that's a shame. |

Sean leaving doesn't really bother me because since he joined the show he's been taking off for weeks at a time at least with him saying he's leaving we won't be wondering where is Sean and when is he coming back. |

Eastenders' Sean Slater heading for Hollywood?
By Zoe
22/06/2008
Another day, another deluded soap actor dreaming of landing the lead in a Hollywood blockbuster. Step forward Eastenders Rob Kazinsky. Rob, who plays nutter Sean Slater in the soap, is leaving Albert Square this November and heading for Tinseltown.
I bumped into him this week and he boldly told me: "I want to make films that change the world or make a difference or make a statement like Rain Man or Forest Gump." He continued: "I'm an actor not a celebrity and hopefully I can carry on working in that vein."
See you in a year's time Rob... on I'm A Celebrity.

Or maybe we'll see him in the porn industry or him playing the English butler in a B rated film. Or, if they don't kill him off in EE....See ya in a couple of years! lol! |

Wow! Who lied and told him his acting was anything close to that of Dustin Hoffman or Tom Hanks? If I was a betting woman i'd bet that he'll be back in the UK faster than Michelle Ryan after her Bionic woman fiasco. |

Not sure his acting is up to snuff to be in Hollywood, but then again, I don't think that EE really developed his character as well as they could have. |

I LOVE that he just showed up in the Vic covered in blood! He is completely insane and that is always fun in a soap. The look on everyone's face was priceless, but I do feel sorry for that little prossie...she is probably fish food. |
