GLOBAL ANTI-WAR MOVEMENT TO GATHER IN LONDON
INTERNATIONAL WORLD AGAINST WAR PEACE CONFERENCE
Saturday 1 December 2007, 10.00 am - 5.00 pm
Central Hall, Westminster, London
Delegates from around the world, including representatives of the
resistance in Iraq and the Lebanon will gather to discuss the
international peace movement?s response to the situation in Iraq,
the occupation of Afghanistan and the threats against Iran. The
conference will also examine the US's growing aggression in other
parts of the world from Eastern Europe to Africa to Latin
America.
Speakers include: Ibrahim Mousawi, Editor of Hezbollah's
newspaper Al-Intiqad, Dennis Halliday, Hans Von Sponeck, former
humanitarian co-ordinators in Iraq, Hassan Jumaa, President Basra
Oil Workers Union, Jawad Al Khalassi, General Secretary Iraq
Foundation Congress, Hannah Ibrahim, Women's Will Iraq, Ivona
Novomestsk, Czech No Bases Campaign, Tony Benn, Craig Murray,
ex-British Ambassador to Uzbekistan and many others. The
conference will discuss international action against any attack
on Iran.

RHYTHMS OF PEACE CONCERT
Friday 30 November, 7.00 pm - 10.00 pm
St James's Church, Piccadilly, London
On the eve of the WORLD AGAINST WAR conference, actors,
musicians, authors, comedians, anti-war activists and even some
politicians will offer song, poetry, readings and some politics
to open a weekend of rhythm and resistance. Tony Benn will be
joined by Julie Christie, Prunella Scales, Ahdaf Soueif, John
Pilger, David Soul and others in support of this Stop the War
benefit.
