Mendoza last night (this morning) said GG is likely to have the Sunday night slot for a long time (even forever).

This would be Bushel''s slot :
------------------------------
20:00 - 22:00 Gary Bushell

Tune into Kick Off/Ford Tuesday/Wednesday Night Football each weekday evening for the liveliest; bounce it off the wall football debate around. Each night the blue touch paper gets lit and the fireworks go off as listeners are invited to join in the action.
------------------------------

Wonder if Bushell didn't like being "spoken to" :

I didn't realise that Mendoza was such an oaf. I quite enjoy his shows usually and he comes across as fairly clued-up in general...

i think it was mendoza the other week after galloways show who came out with some complete crap about the climate camp; it was all people looking for trouble, people with no jobs, specialist gangs of anarchists that travel the world causing rucks with the police etc ...

glad bushels been given the boot, hope its permanent Smile

Other than liking Mendosa's theme music, I don't like much else from the show.

He might just be on hols ... room for gossip ...

p.s. I do recall two goods TS show from people other than GG : one focusing on 911 and another on climate change.

The 911 show was James Whale : http://www.spiderednews.com/911.htm?vid=86681
The climate change was James Max : http://www.spiderednews.com/GlobalWarming.htm?vid=86870

Mendoza is a complete twat. I was listening to his show after George finished and he was blathering on about Mandella, saying his statue was bollocks and that he wasn't even that much of an inspiration, plus he never did anything for this country so why should we have a statue of him. etc etc.

And he talks so fast that he slurs the end of one word into the beginning of another like some drunk, ham-handed uncle at a wedding party. He has a section of his show where he talks to some sort of "gadget detective" who's name I still don't know because everytime he mentions the guy in the talk-ups to the show it comes out like "fuschusha gadjerdeteteve". Slurring nob.

I believe GG said he would be on Sundays for, "the next few weeks" without elaborating on the reason the time slot was open.

Excellent rant, Nekokate. You crack me up.

I tuned in just as George was part-way in his usual pre-amble, talking about "short time ago being pulled up" for reading newspaper titles of, I presume, Richard Desmond .. but I missed the beginning of the sentence. Anyone know the context of the chat ?
