yep .. and if the UK government is prepared to hide documents from the public to "please" Israel in this case of blatant MURDER, then surely they could also be hiding documents which will show GG in a good light, or on a basis that this is tantamount to a lie which would also mislead the public, then morally it is equivalent to them manufacturing documents (or keeping quiet about the forgery) which would implicate GG.
Who has trust in what the UK government says is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth ?
The fact is that the our government has now finally acquired teh power to place the lives of it's citizens beneath any political agenda it deems fit. Only a few years ago our government would not have been able to claim that right - murder was the ultimate empowering right to demand disclosure - today murder is treated no worse than a jay walking offence so long as it does not offend Israel.
What a crock.
Makes youy want to fly planes into highrise buildings that does!
You need to be v. careful about such jokes [I certainly hope it is a joke] .. It can get you into SERIOUS trouble. Else your occupation will have to be changed from "Anarchist" to "Anarchist last seen being bundled into a van in the middle of the night by militants wearing police style uniforms"
To be be honest, I think it best if you edit it out.
Thanks for that, David. It's unlike anything I ever see on Canadian news.
Quote:
Jul. 5 - A Palestinian camerman is hit by a volley of bullets while filming clashes between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian militants in Gaza.
The cameraman, Imad Ghanem was filming for Hamas's al-Aqsa television channel when he was fired upon.
In video filmed by a colleague he can be seen lying on the ground with his camera by his side.
Eyewitnesses said moments before he'd been with a group which included militant gunmen, though he appeared to be unarmed. Ghanem was later treated in hospital where both of his legs were amputated.
An Israeli army spokeswoman said journalists were at risk if they entered a combat zone but soldiers did not deliberately target them.
"combat zone" indeed. All Gaza and the West Bank are a combat zone by this definition. This amounts to little more than, "any Palestinian living in what remains of Palestine are fair targets."
And "not deliberately [targeted]"? I guess I just imagined the bullets shooting up sand around his prone body.
What also struck me was the title of the Reuters article "Shot while filming a gunbattle", whilst Pilger said he was shot "as he filmed them invading Gaza.".
That's a BIG difference if he was killed during an invasion, since this puts the blame totally on the invader. It also means the combat zone only became a combat zone after the Israeli's invaded. This is as if the Nazis invaded Britain and shot everybody indiscriminately saying the whole of Britain was a combat zone.
I am embedding the video here, but the embed code doesn't seem to work.
