I thought there was a thread on this a few month ago, but I can't find it. Maybe it was archived.
Glad the court ruled against this outrageous claim.

he was trying to take the cleaners to the cleaners - the anti-pun police stopped him just in time. |

He looks like from a minority community himself. He should have more respect for other minority communities who are just trying to survive. |

I heard this on NPR on the way home today and actually cheered. This rates right up there with the lady that sued McD's because her coffee was too hot and she had it where no cup of coffee should EVER be... |

What amazes me is that he is a judge as well. I am so glad this got thrown out and from what I saw on the news he may end up paying the dry cleaners legal fees as well. |

I especially like that the NLRB has called for him to be disbarred.
This part confused me:
According to the Washington Post, he also added the cost of hiring a car every weekend to enable him to drive to an alternative dry-cleaners for the next 10 years.
It would have been much cheaper if he hired a taxi to just drop the dry cleaning off and pick it up two days later. And for that matter there are a ton of dry cleaners who pick up and deliver. WTF was he renting, the Space Shuttle? |

I know, idiotic, wasn't it? Apparently he factored in all this stuff like his transportation, etc. just because the sign in the shop said "Satisfaction Guaranteed" and he felt he wouldn't be satisfied any other way.
And I'm very happy he had to pay the court costs of the store owners. |

The story in Major.tom's original post states : "He's somehow purporting that he has a constitutional right to a dry cleaner within four blocks of his apartment".
Life, Liberty, and the persuit of dry cleaning down the street, damnit! |

I'm elated he has to pay for the court costs as well. What a complete jackass and I'm glad for once there is a judge with some sense. |
