Thanks so much for posting the pics. I can't wait to see the episode. The Phil Mitchell character hasn't had a full blown psychotic episode in six months anyway. He's not as crazy as Tony Soprano, but he can get really desperate at times. This'll be good. Also, I'll be watching to see if Stella's hair will look as crappy on her wedding day as it does every day in general. Yikes! And hasn't Phil Mitchell been known to sport a kilt on occasion? I seem to remember him slapping Gary, in a church, while wearing a kilt and I wonder why he's not wearing one for his own wedding?

EASTENDERS hardman Phil Mitchell gets a pasting – after picking a fight with a couple of Albert Square yobs.

Phil (Steve McFadden) is still a mess after Stella’s death, and flees the Queen Vic looking for trouble.

He meets a couple of toughs in the July 26 episode – but refuses to throw a punch, claiming he wants to be punished for letting Stella abuse Ben.

The stressed ex- drunk also ends up reaching for a bottle of Scotch.

Meanwhile, ’Enders bosses have cleared out all six of the show’s episode producers to streamline the making of the BBC1 soap.

Executive producer Diederick Santer will take over their duties.

I wish he would get beat up without wanting it. Phil needs to be taken down a notch.

I love it when Phil goes postal. He's been too quiet for too long and I can't wait to see him acting full blown crazy! It reminds me of a real disturbed guy we knew when we lived in Dallas. He'd go straight up crazy at the slightest thing, but he had the most gentle face and the cutest curley hair. Shame, really.

EASTENDERS hardman Phil Mitchell falls off the wagon – and crashes face-first into a birthday cake.

The drunken mechanic (Steve McFadden) turns up for baby Janet’s first birthday looking the worse for wear.

Son Ben is delighted to see him – but mum Peggy (Barbara Windsor) is far from amused. The hilarious scenes air on September 1.

I am surprised they've had it take this long for Phil to start drinking again. Looking forward to him crashing Laughing

Laughing I can't wait to see that one!

And, it hardly seems a year since wee Janet was born. I must say, I had expected them to deal a little more with the Down's Syndrome issues but perhaps that will happen as she grows a bit older.
