In this day and age, a broken remote qualifies as being utterly deprived...
I don't suppose there's an "ok" or "enter" button on your receiver, is there? If not, hopefully the message will go away on its own. |

it was just updating settings, but telling me to use the remote while the remote was deactivated...
I knew I should have explained this better! |

Ah! Now I see what you mean. I didn't realize that your remote was deactivated during software updates.
Wonderful programming logic, isn't it? |

It was so much easier when kids were the remote. No upgrade then you just had to worry about them growing up and moving out! |

Maybe they expect you to walk up to the tv, hit the OK portion of the window for it to close |

Nope, me neither...my brother and I were the remotes. I must admit, it was alot easier then, not so many channels to ponder over. |

 Good one Face! You should call the cable people and ask them how you should close the window when the remote doesn't work...... I'd be curious to hear what their answer was. |

god fancy not being able to use your remote for a moment i cant imagine how that would feel, men cant live without the remote, i know i will spend half an hour searching every inch of the house looking for it and it would never cross my mind to walk over to the tv and change the channel |
