Pensioner's peculiar parking
Tuesday, June 12, 2007
Just a short trip to the shops resulted in this interesting piece of parking on Tuesday. A pensioner lost control of his blue Vauxhall Astra car and it ended up balancing precariously on a garden wall in Southend.

Pensioner takes the slow lane
Tuesday, June 12, 2007
A 90-year-old pensioner had to be rescued from the hard shoulder of a motorway after he took a wrong turn on his electric scooter. Concerned motorists called police when they saw the man on the westbound hard shoulder of the M27 near Whiteley, Hampshire this afternoon plodding along at 5mph. A police spokeswoman said the confused man got lost after travelling on the scooter from his home in Locksheath to a shopping centre in Whiteley.
