Completely out of touch.

Had a little listen to an old CRASS record on the way home.

Who is the new CRASS or DEAD KENNEDYS?

that's a good question - I used to know some good punk bands around here, but nothing much in the last few years.

Good question! I used to love lots of political punk bands but to be honest most of the bands i listen to now are pretty a-political. These are all i can think of off the top of my head
System of a Down, Anti-Flag: Overtly political but are on major labels. The International Noise Conspiracy/Refused, pennywise, BRMC have some political stuff. i'm sure there's lot's of underground stuff still but i've kind of lost touch with that scene. The vast majority of music that springs to mind is from the 80's gang of four, minutemen etc

I could be wrong but i'd say there is considerably less now but it may be a matter of looking for it
