PICTURE IMPERFECT
According to the Guardian, this picture (by Darren Coffield) has been refused entry to the National Portrait Gallery. Also, according to them Galloway is claiming there was a "conspiracy" to stop it being shown. I think we all know Galloway's position on conpiracies, so it will be interesting to see if there's any mention of this at the weekend...

Is it just me, or does the expression on his face look like he's just discovered something in his suit pocket that he didn't want to find?

Why is there a cut-out cowboy pointing a revolver at GG's privates? Bizarre indeed.
If I were him, I don't think I'd want this portrait on public display.

i read about this last week, those two cut outs are supposed to be bush and blair, or represent them at least - i remember the artist saying that he also thought something was up - its not just galloway ... he'll have to get david icke on his show to get to the bottom of this

The cut out cowboy contains an upside down picture of Bush's face, see.

LOOL Galloway just went mental on the Adrian Durham/Ian wright show! ady tried to wind him up with is pro-blair nonsense and george just lost it! Try and catch the podcast of that show cos it should be on there. He just hung up in anger at the end but said he respected wrighty!

Good observation, Kate. I hadn't noticed that.
In retrospect, it's an interesting statement. But I would've thought the cowboy's horse would've been more apt for Blair than a brave. Rosinante (sp?) comes to mind...

Absolutely, major.tom!
Does anyone know who the bust is supposed to be of? I'm sure it's relevant.

He appears to be wearing robes, so I would guess a Roman emperor. (Nero?)
btw, I just noticed another face (right-side up) in the Brave. You all probably saw this eons ago, but in case not...

The bust is of Charles James Fox - the great radical parliamentarian

He came up in the Hitchens debate, George said that he was right to support American independance even though America was now run by incompetent criminals
