I wonder if the publicist got an indemnity from Paris Hilton before he stood up in court to say it was all his fault. He was exposing himself to a huge law suite from Paris by "admitting" this.
I personally don't believe him .. wonder if he was paid to say what he said (and got rewarded, including to compensate for his firing) |

Over here the news shows and papers are full of this. Why is this such a major news story!!!!
I think it's sad that we give so much of our time learning about this little rich kid - and I wonder what the heck does she give back??????? |

Anything to distract from the "real issues" which the government is messing up on .. World Bank sleaze scandal / Iraq / impeachment etc. |

Glad to see same rules applied to all. I frequently read about people being given credit for turning up in court for their "latest" hearing (as opposed to all hearings)

American justice shows its 17th century attitude towards its nobility again.
Reduced sentence for good behaviour!!!! Separate jail !!!, not having to mix with the other celeb lowlifes in the jail what a place LA is.
Paris Hilton will only have to serve half of her 45-day jail sentence because she's been a good girl. The hotel heiress's sentence was reduced to 23 days after prison officials gave her credit for good behaviour, County sheriff spokesman Steve Whitmore said.
Several factors for the credit, including the fact that she turned up for her latest court date, were taken into consideration.
Whitmore revealed that the 26-year-old will stay in a special unit that contains 12 two-person cells reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates.
But she's expected to be treated like everyone else at the Century Regional Detention Center in suburban Lynwood, Los Angeles.
She will get at least an hour outside her cell each day to shower, watch television, participate in outdoor recreation or talk on the telephone |

I wonder who her cell mate will be ?
Not even the USSR had "special" (5*) prisons for their celebrities. Wouldn't it be more honest and just say the law doesn't apply in some cases ? Though that would be bad "PR"
I bet she ends up with her own private cell .. and possibly a mini-racing car to drive around the cell in. |
