Can't help feeling "first past the post" is unfair .. where half a percent point swing, after 10% of ballots were rejected, can make the difference to being in or out of politics. |

I hadn't realised that all the SSP MSPs had lost their seats too. I'm sure Rupert Murdoch and his Scottish cohorts celebrated that moment (probably by sacrificing a goat). |

Hope Labour doesn't use the "10% rejected vote" to try to undermine the SNP and ask for a re-run.
Those "rejected" votes could be "manually" recounted .. even if it means contacting each voter (which is traceable)

The difference is that Bush rigged that election on purpose. This is just incompetence. If Labour have lost seats, they've only got themselves to blame for setting up such bad vote counting machines in the first place. |
