This question came up in another thread...
I never used to listen to much talk radio until I got into listening to Galloway and now I quite enjoy a few others too. There's a good show on every morning on BBC Scotland and I've given a shot to some of the more outlandish maniacs such as Alex Jones etc. To think that Jones is among the more moderate of some of the conspiracy broadcasters is a bit weird indeed... |

I occasionally listen to BBC 5 Live in the mornings which is hosted by Nicky Campbell. I'm not a big fan of Campbell but at least he doesn't pussyfoot around politicians. He gave Patricia Hewitt a good going over a few days ago, which is always a good listen. When the British sailors were first captured by the Iranians, he also had Craig Murray on, who was the absolute personification of measured diplomacy, tact and intelligence. Of course, as soon as the interview was over, the good old 5 Live listeners began texting in to call Murray a "wimp."
Is Alex Jones really considered moderate? Strewth! Who are the others then, and what are they like? |

I've not listened to much Nicky Campbell, I find his attitude on Watchdog to be unnecessarily tenacious when you consider that all he's talking about might be that someone had to hang on the line for longer than would be expected to pay their phone bills or whatever... but I'll give it a shot on the listen-back.
I wouldn't say Alex Jones is moderate as such, just less mental than some of the others in that he doesn't say directly that Israel was responsible for 9/11, for example. I've also read stories of some broadcasters pulling guns on employees and all sorts.
There's one guy called Darryl Bradford Smith (known as DBS) who is about as deep into the conspiracy stuff as you could imagine. He apparently broadcasts by phone from a cottage in France to a computer elsewhere then that is forwarded on - I'm not sure why he does that, maybe it just makes him seem more elusive or something. |

I might listen in to tonight's 10:00PM "JAMES WHALE" show on 911.
I don't normally listen to James Whale .. but above might be interesting.
For the record, people who push the "no-plane" at the Pentagon are just distracting the public from the real issue of explosives in WTC 1 / 2 / 7 .. and Flight 93 being shot down.
p.s. A plug for Alex Jones's films :
http://worldpressnetwork.net/index.php/Alex_Jones
The films :
Martial Law 9/11: Rise of the Police State, 2 hr 35 min 42 sec - 14-Feb-2006
and
911 The Road To Tyranny, 2 hr 22 min 0 sec - 08-Mar-2006
Show how 911 was used by the government to assist in their aims of overthrowing the constitution of the USA. |

Hello
I have only started listening to the radio in the last eight months or so, George Galloways shows have given me more then, just an interest in whats going on in the world around me.
I have also been listening to Alex Jones, I can see his points, well some of them, but all he makes me want to do, is arm myself to the teeth and run to the hills. But if anyone can recommend any good shows that would be great, and any I come across, I will do the same.
I Can Live Without TV. I never thought I would hear myself say that. |

Yep .. I rarely have time for TV .. we are in an age that TV is channelled down the "broadband"/"cable internet".
Though (non-sky) TV only costs £1/month if you upgrade to a Virgin/NTL £30/M package (since cable internet is £18 + phone is £11). Though this is the alternative to asking for a discount as highlighted on the web site which George mentioned today :
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=4733915
I do resent paying the TV license for BBC propaganda. |

Thanks GG_FAN
And propaganda it surly is. It will be interesting to see the stage-managed version, we shall get, from the home office about the release of the troops today ?. Top man Galloway, get ya money back from the banks, now that's what I call a man of the people and top class radio. |

I don't listen to any other talk radio programmes except the occasional bit of the today programme or world service. The rest are mostly either deeply reactionary or just plain dull, much prefer 6 music |

From http://whatreallyhappened.com/
Michael Rivero will be on air with Alex Jones on INFOWARS, http://www.infowars.com/
Tuesday, April 10th at Noon Central Time. (Last second schedule change)
On http://www.infowars.com/ you can click : (top right)
Listen Now: Infowars Main Stream
or Infowars Low Bandwidth Stream
"Listen to Alex Jones Live from 11AM-2PM
& Repeatedly Streaming Each Day's Show 24/7"
i.e. the 3 hour daily show LOOPS round ..
Note that the present broadcast is saying the opposition movements (including 911 investigators) are merging into an anti-globalisation movement, which chimes with what I said in other threads that the socialist "left" and pro-constitutional right have a lot in common. |

I like to listen to Sean Hannity and Mark Levin here in New York. 3 to 6 pm for Sean and 6 to 8 pm for Mark. You can catch them on the internet at http://www.wabcradio.com/. Great stuff. |

Looks like "Genesis Communications Network" [GCN] http://www.gcnlive.com/genesis/ is an online radio station where some of the people mentioned above can be heard.
e.g. on their Saturday Schedule http://www.gcnlive.com/saturdaysched.htm :
Alex Jones
What Really Happened [Michael Rivero]
Jeff Rense [rense.com]
It seems that if you have a web site which highlights problems with government policies, then a "next step" is to heard nationwide (or internationally) on the radio via "GCN". Faceless, fancy a spot ? |

Isn't GCN the one where the owner pulled a gun on his staff? (the reason it's been off the air) There's enough gun-toting arseholes in the world without me supporting them! |

News to me .. and as far as I know, it isn't off the air. A Google Search doesn't find an obvious hit. In any case, just like we might not support the owners of TalkSport, we still listen in on the station.
p.s. Bearing in mind the number of assaults going on (e.g. postman shooting colleagues), I would love to hear about the incident which faceless mentioned .. e.g. what the staff were doing. |
