It's supposed to be starting tomorrow, and George hasn't mentioned it at all on yesterday's show (I missed Fridays). Could the deal have fell through? |

Nothing was mentioned Friday either. Nor on his website. Let's hope it's only a delay or, less likely, an oversight on his part. |

With so much going on in GG's world, "May You Live in Interesting Times" comes mind.
http://www.noblenet.org/reference/inter.htm
"May You Live in Interesting Times"
In a speech in Cape Town, South Africa, on June 7, 1966, Robert F. Kennedy said, "There is a Chinese curse which says, "May he live in interesting times." Like it or not, we live in interesting times..." Journalists picked up the phrase and it has become a commonplace.
However, the popularity of this "Chinese curse" puzzles Chinese scholars, who have only heard it from Americans. If it is of Chinese origin, it has somehow escaped the literature, although it may be a paraphrase of a liberal translation from a Chinese source, and therefore unrecognizable when translated back to Chinese. It might be related to the Chinese proverb, "It's better to be a dog in a peaceful time than be a man in a chaotic period."
Stephen DeLong, who has been researching this quotation for several years and details his quest on his own website, has traced the quotation back to a 1950 science fiction story: "U-Turn" by Duncan H. Munro, a pseudonym for Eric Frank Russell. |

JFK was a hell of an orator, but my sneaking suspicion was that he got this from a fortune cookie. "ancient Chinese proverb: ..." |

I never considered the similarity between GG & JFK's oratory skills.
I suppose it might be a blessing in disguise that GG isn't PM .. he might attract the wrong type of "attention" (like JFK did).
p.s. This reminds me of :
"JFK Speech on Secret Societies and Freedom of the Press"

so he's just announced that the show will be starting on April the 10th - on Sky Channel 187... turns out that's Raj TV, and they don't bloody show it on cable.
Bunch of arses. If anyone with Sky who is interested and has a dvd recorder I'll run you through making caps of it... |

Raj TV?
i have sky but raj tv is available on free to air as well i believe
Well it is a bit of a gamble but i suppose he will boost the number of viewers that channel gets in the same way he did for talk sport.
I guess raj tv has a mainly asian following but i am looking at it now and they seem to be talking about football and the premiership.
i hope i works out for him, is he going to be on every day? |

It's a free to air channel but you need a Sky dish to receive it - it's not on cable or Freeview as far as I can see. |

... face, I will definately be recording this for myself when it starts, so with a bit of tuition from yourself I can do the capping. It's something I've been wanting to get into anyway. |
