The Bank of Queensland has apologised after granting a credit card to a pet cat in Melbourne.

South Morang resident Katherine Campbell obtained a card for her cat "Messiah", which was attached to the woman's existing account.

It has been reported she was testing the bank's identity screening.

The Bank of Queensland says people who apply for credit cards must sign to confirm the information they have provided is true and not misleading.

If they were my bank they would have to do a lot more than apologize!

I'm sure the cat had a PURRRRRFECT credit rating Smile

I also wonder what kind of PURRRCHASES the cat would have made ?

Cat buys Moggie Minor with credit card sex scandal....
When all the thing did was buy a car.

You think this thread will have a litter of other cat ref' lines?

Maybe it's owner halted the card in the end as she didn't want it to go catawalling to a strip joint as that would have been a catastrophy...
