Indeed some of the best comedy of that time...

I'd go so far as to say the show had moments that stand up to today's comedy, even out shines it...

Their movie attempt "Morons From Outter Space" also had it's moments.

I know Mel Smith was doing a lot of "Theatrical Arts" Patronage...
I know of some things that Griff went on to do...
& we all know what Rowen did...
But what became of Pamela... last I heard she married the big yin & then what?

Didn't she write a biography of him?

I'm realy not sure popinjay...

I have been outside the UK since 1994 & lost touch with a lot of media type peeps & what they do etc...

Mel Smith was a patron of a small theater group I worked with in Elstree (when not working on shows / movies etc) during the early 80's & into the early 90's.
I'd design lighting for them, maybe run sound or get much needed props on loan from various studios.

He was certainly a hands on patron, in as much that he would show up for castings, rehersals & even show nights... most other 'patrons' just inject a bit of cash or let their name be used to help raise monies etc...

As I said, we know of others in NTNOCN except Pamela... it just seemed as if she dropped of the face of the planet after getting wed to the big man.
Maybe he ate her? lol....

Well, I now have a quest... to find out what happened to her, what she's up to if even still alive.

She went on to study a degree in Psychology, specialising in sexual problems. She still works as an analyst in Los Angeles as far as I know and she wrote "Billy" also, and it's well worth reading.

Her and Billy were on Parkinson about a year ago talking about it all...
