BIG-hearted Peter Thomas goes out in a blaze of glory . . . as he makes his last Christmas lights display his best ever.

Peter ? who has spent more than ?25,000 over 25 years building up his collection of decorations ? has decided to stop the annual spectacular as he is soon to turn 70.

This time he has used a record 40,000 bulbs on his house in Kilgetty, Wales. Visitors who come to see his annual show have donated over ?55,000 to cancer research. Peter said: ?It?s worth it just to see kids? faces.?

That's absolutely brilliant. What a sweetheart to do this to see the reaction of children. That man has a big heart for sure and gives a lot of enjoyment out to a lot of people. Good on him Smile

It makes Clark Griswold's look piss poor Laughing

One of our local Electrical Contractor Companies does a huge display every year...

I'd hazzard a guess that there are as many, if not more lights, just not in such a cramped space as it is spread out over 3/4s of an acre with many scenes as well as the main building.
Their display is also set to / timed to music.
You pull up outside, tune your radio to either their AM or FM fequency & watch in awe as the whole thing runs through about 40 min's worth of carols, xmas themed music & such.

If I get the spare time I will attemp to capture some on video & link to it.
