I was reading on The Mirror's site and saw this:

I've never heard of a dog weighing 1000kg (2000 lb) so I've written to them to ask what they mean... who would ever even think that was right? Daft buggers!

You'd spend a year's wages for three months of food if he was that big! Surprised

No kidding!! Right now, it really only costs us about $10/mth for his dog food so we're very lucky. Must cost you a fortune with the three dogs!

Surprisingly enough it's not too bad. We get 24 cans probably twice every month, that's around $40 and they get dry in the evening and a 40 lb bag is about $18 and that lasts about a month. So $58 a month on food is pretty good. Of course, that's not including treats and occasional scraps! Laughing

I was telling faceless the other day how I went to the shops with a pal on friday and saw cute outfits for dogs. They had sweaties and boots and all kinds of really neat stuff.

Do you all put antlers on your dogs or christmas sweaties or anything like that? awwwww Razz

I just got this back from The Mirror...

Yes, *******... that would be the little-known Pyrannean Elephant Dog - directly descended from Hannibal's herd which got lost crossing the mountains as he prepared to attack Rome.

Seriously, I have told pedigree about this, but they have not corrected it - and that content does not sit on our servers so we can't change it.

regards

Steve

so it was actually from Pedigree, the dog food manufacturers! Pretty shoddy eh? Laughing

Can't find the "antler" photo at the moment, but we only do silly stuff like that for our Christmas card photo. This year's photo is the one from my avatar.... minus the blinking eyes and flashing lights. Here's Beaker saying his prayers in the Christmas lights:
