This site is really funny - they've looked through patent archives to find the strangest and generally most useless contraptions ever invented... www.freepatentsonline.com
For a shining example of botchery - try this: www.freepatentsonline.com/3216423.pdf it's a device to help women give birth using the power of CENTRIFUGAL FORCE!! Note especially the "catcher's mitt" type gizmo, employed to prevent the child from hitting the wall!

| Jaysus lol The 'catchers mitt' actually did catch my eye right away I think I'd rather give birth in the jungle being assisted by monkeys than be strapped into that thing |
