Burnistoun
This is the first new Scottish comedy that I've seen in years that's made me properly laugh. It's not far off an updated version of Chewin The Fat.

Episode 2 tonight, hope it is as good as the first, I'm sure I will need urban dictionary to translate some of it again.

episode 2 added. I didn't think it was as funny, but there were still a good few proper laughs. My favourite was probably the graffiti sketch.

Agreed, I didn't like the first ice cream van sketch but this weeks made me laugh (the ashes). I think my favourites have been the bottle of ginga and the lift. Have you watched the pilot? A few real good laughs in that.

I thought the first one was very good. The second one - I'm with you, Faceless - only really smiled at the Graffiti thang.

Hiya..

In reference to squareeyes and faceless comment that it wasnt as goos as Ep 1.. I think depende how you watch it... I think most of Ep. 2 was a work of genious...

i am finding this program a bit of a Contemporary CHEWIN THE FAT meets ABSOLUTELY, quite a lot of cleverclogs comedy/observations in it as well as the obvious coarse gags.. The brothers in the Ice Cream Van have a kinda DON & GEORGE thing about them... in a different delivery...lol.. i am enjoying it very much.. Ep 3 tommorow am lookin forward to it.. Smile

last episode of the series added now - and they brought in a raft of new characters. They've obviously got a lot left and I cannae wait for the new series anyway!

On checking it seems a new series isn't guaranteed...

I'm feeling inclined to agree with anyone who points at me in a string vest from their avatar, either for reasons of intimidation, fetish, or just for the Halibut (so I'm just agreeing with you... Seems safer, that way ;) )

I'm 100% behind any UK or Irish comedy. It's us v. the world!! Very Happy

Kirsty Strain - 2012-11-11 - Pulse 98.4FM
This show is along the lines of 'Desert Island Discs'. Good stuff

Enlighten Up
The Burnistoun boys (plus Greg Hemphill) present a comedy show for children about philosophy. It's pretty funny.
