I've seen first hand what these "circus" folks do to these poor animals. It sickens me.

This is my husbands favorite cake. I make it each year for his birthday. It's very rich! but it's wonderful. I usually buy store frosting because it's a bit easier but the frosting is wonderful also!
Triple Layer Brownie Cake
Cake:
1 1/2 cups butter (no substitutes)
6 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
Frosting:
2 (8-ounce) packages semisweet baking chocolate
3 cups whipping cream
2 (1.55-ounce) milk chocolate candy bars -- grated
In a microwave or double boiler, melt butter and chocolate. Stir in sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla, flour and salt; mix well. Pour into three greased and floured 9-in. round cake pans. Bake at 350' for 23-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes; remove from pan to a wire rack to cool completely.
For frosting, melt chocolate in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Gradually stir in cream until well blended. Heat to a gentle boil; boil and stir for 1...

Herbed Chicken Paillard
A thin slice of meat that is quickly cooked by grilling or saut?ing, a paillard is typically pounded with a meat pounder to reach the desired thinness. Place the food between 2 sheets of waxed paper or plastic wrap and strike it with glancing blows, working from the center to the edge, rather than pounding down directly on the meat.
2 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves,
about 1 1/4 lb. total, pounded to
1/3-inch thickness
Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 to 2 Tbs. unsalted butter
1 to 2 Tbs. extra-virgin olive oil
1 small shallot, minced
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup chicken stock
2 Tbs. chicken demi-glace (if can't find only use chicken stock)
2 Tbs. minced fresh chives
2 Tbs. minced fresh flat-leaf parsley
2 Tbs. minced fresh tarragon
Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Spread the flour on a plate. Dredge the chicken in the flour, coating the pieces completely; shake off the excess.
In a large saut? pan over medium-high heat, melt 1 Tbs. of the butter...

EEf its not so much thay they were low income...the area has a reputation for being full of drug dealers, gangs etc. The Government thought that making a little 'conclave' where people on the dole and other welfare recipients could all hang out together was a marvellous soci-economic decision....as they could all use peer support and things would be fine.
Well they DO support themselves...and peer support means sharing the drugs. My sister was housed there by the government at one stage (reduced rental housing) and she begged us to help her move out because her next-door-but-one neighbour volunteered to babysit her kids (3 yrs old and 14 months old), and fed the 3yo a laced biscuit...she ended up in hospital and my sisiter nearly lost her kids because of someone else's madness.
Hell 'I' am a low income earner...I officially earn about 150 per week under the poverty line...but hubby and I managed to raise 2 kids and keep them healthy and safe, so money or lack of it isn't the issue.
What is the issue in that area is that it seems to be accepted to partake of drugs and alcohol, damn the kids or...

That's kind of my thoughts. I understand that they want to solve the mystery and all, but what a waste of tax payers money.
