Yup, saw it a while back & revisited it when it was shown on cable...
I can't help but feel it was a huge contrived joke (no pun intended)...
Seeing as Penn was the guy who got the ball rolling with this movie & his constant hoaxing / manipulation...
It's also certainly his kind of humor to create such a vast array of people to tell a joke that doesn't exist (well it does now) & have at least 2 or 3 people in it that any / everybody can relate to.
On the whole tho'... it's rather entertaining.

I give it 3 stars

Jason, as his own mother put it (and I'm paraphrasing here) is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He is so easily manipulated (by Sarah, Charlie & Eileen, for starters), that I often wonder if he has a mind of his own?

It seems that Claire is pressuring herself to become some sort of "Stepford Wife/Mother", doesn't it? I hope she doesn't lose it completely at the expense of the "unnamed" baby. Her behaviour is extremely disturbing....................

He didn't say a thing as he was probably not bothered. It was the ones who spoke out that were, meaning faceless and I.
We all get on quite well here with a respect for one another and don't feel the need to flame anyone, so I hope you can do the same

It's a great laugh, but the US version is cut to ribbons compared to the UK, so well worth checking out the UK version if you get the chance...I'd offer to up it, but alas, it's on my external hd, and that, is still in maine.

We hate this kind of show, but this one was cool.
It's hard to watch people who have talent get slated by a small posse of 'stars', but we found it less hardcore than the US shows of this kind.
We loved the "Mother - in - law" who got Simon to say sorry.
(Simon is another Elstree / Borehamwood person BTW).
I think it could be one that we will watch. |
It's one of those shows that once you start watching it's hard to stop. The auditions is the best part of the show, but I end up watching it all because I get interested in the ones that make it through and continue on for the voting and all that.
I think your wife might enjoy Xtra Factor with Ben Sheppard. He's kind of like Dermot of Big Brother.....easy on the eyes and a good sense of humour

UNITED WE STAND ... Rooney and Ronaldo celebrate
By NEIL CUSTIS:
Man Utd 5 Fulham 1
WAYNE ROONEY had a hug for Cristiano Ronaldo to publicly show their World Cup woes are behind them.
And boss Alex Ferguson said: ?He and Rooney looked like best of pals.?
Rooney, who scored twice and set up Ronaldo for his goal, said: ?I think we have let our football do the talking.
?I?ve proved already from what I?ve said there is no problem between us. People say things but they do not really know the pair of us. I was delighted Cristiano got his goal and showed what a talent he is. He was brilliant.?
Their celebrations were all a far cry from their World Cup quarter-final bust-up when Ronaldo helped to get Rooney sent off. Rooney, 20, and Paul Scholes now both face three-match bans after an FA disciplinary commission rejected their appeals against red cards from the Amsterdam Tournament.
Rooney added: ?Me and Scholesy are devastated with the ban particularly after the start we have had today.?
