If it was down to that I'm really surprised that the train didn't have automated warnings after he went through the signal. |

As soon as the accident was reported the train company was saying it was there fault and that the driver ran the light. I don't think they would have come out with it so quickly if it weren't the case. They've put themselves right in the hot seat. |

It came out that he was texting and that is what caused the accident. Terrible. His need to text message was more important than to pay attention to driving a massive locomotive and being in charge of the lives and well being of others. I can't even imagine what all the families are going through, the victims as well as the drivers. |

People don't realize that it only takes a second to miss crucial information, whether it's driving a car or a train. I just can't understand why someone would be so careless with so many lives at stake. What a shame and a tragedy. :-( |
