Posh parents eh? Just goes to show that many people are bastards no matter what 'class' they are from - I'm guessing the majority in this case got angry because they are desperate to be seen as successful and well-off in the 'right-circles'. A bunch of twats in other words! I'm sure most of the kids would be happy enough in a scabby field jumping over hay bales...

This type of behavior always disgusts me. It's just parents living their dreams through their children. Like parents who get thrown out of little league games, they are no better.

It's the same here, although, it tends to be focused mostly on hockey.

You just want to tell the parents "GET A LIFE....OF YOUR OWN!!". Sad, really, for both the parent and the kid. Imagine how embarrassing.

Used to be that way, but now we are entering into the summer season the same parents are popping up on the football (soccer) pitch too.

I coach kids of varying ages and generally the parents have been ok but I have witnessed some nasty behaviour too.

The club I coach for has a zero tolerance policy and if the parent doesn't come back into line they're out and so is their kid. Its the only way to deal with c*nts like that.

I have to agree. My brother used to ref football (not the american kind, the real stuff!), and he would have a chat with the parents before the game. He actually had to throw a parent out once for verbal abuse. What kind of lesson is that teaching the kids? If you yell, scream and are rude you get results? I applaud clubs like yours, maycm. It sends the right message. It's sad when the parents act younger than the kids.
