Anyone seen this documentary yet? It was on CBC on Sunday night. If space interests you, I'd highly recommend it. I've seen it on some torrent sites (mininova).

I took a quick look at work (without sound) and it looks interesting, however if he's talking about terraforming Mars I think it would be pretty much impossible based on my laymans knowledge of the subject.

For one thing, the atmosphere of Mars is so thin, and subsequently "air" pressure is so low that any water that might be brought to the surface pretty much evapourates immediately.

The magnetic field thing I guess is the key to this, as Mars has no active magnetic field and cosmic rays and solar emmisions that are deflected away on Earth would kill life as we understand it on Mars.

I'll be sure to grab this though if I can and take a look though.
