I've not heard about South American states being in conflict like this before, so it's good to see both countries showing some strength on the matter. I've no doubt the US government will support Columbia on the basis of 'anti-terrorism', but you can be sure that if FARC was a right-wing organisation they would be seen as 'heroes of democracy' or some such shite. |

Today was the first I had heard of it. "Spain and a number of Latin American countries including Mexico, Argentina and Brazil have offered to mediate in the dispute" does sound encouraging. |
