I've decided to make the George Galloway archive section available to non-members for the last 3 months. I've also updated those pages with instant stream options for all inclusions. It's looking pretty neat if I say so myself! I wonder if anyone will donate though? There's only ever been two people who have donated in relation to the Galloway section, which is pretty pathetic when you think about it. This isn't aimed at regular contributing members, but at all the others who come to take and never give back. |

It does seem hard to convince people it is in their interest to donate when they can get it for "free" by leeching on other donations (in economic terms, "a natural monopoly" which should be under government control to tax everyone who benefits). We had PMs about this a while back.
I see the donate button on the download page. Maybe adding something more prominent at the top (maybe an "appeal" to stop the section being closed for non contributors). |

If people are penniless then that's fair enough, I spent most of the last few years on the dole living on about £50 a week, but the ones who refuse to give anything tend to be the more well-off.
It should be noted that any donations will go towards my being able to provide better and more content. The humyo space was paid for by soap-fan members of the site, so everyone who takes for nothing should be aware that they are benefitting from those other people's willingness to chip some money in the bucket. |

I just tested the Galloway section in IE and saw that the embeds don't display properly at all - I've not upgraded to IE7 though, so I'm not sure if that's the problem. Can anyone tell me if it works for them? The audio streams just show as a black box and the videos aren't the correct size. |
