Wow! He's lucky he didn't lose his leg. Shot with a shotgun at short range? That's scary.
Perhaps now he'll learn proper firearm safety. Leaving one in the chamber with the safety off is just asking for trouble. |

birdshot's not that bad Major - it's designed to not actually break the skin, but to work like a really hard hit. Like getting punched by a spray of metal. |
