i cant believe they banned an archbishop
the man was about to become the pope for God's sake
i recall he basically said that israel was using inhumane practices on palestinians
i think it was a few months ago he said this, but not 100% on when it occurred
what next?
deny the pope a visa to the states? |

i posted this a while back, followed by an alteration - in the end the lobby gave in http://couchtripper.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?t=5696
but yeah, shocking that they'd even try to stop him - but understandable really ( from the lobbys point of view )
there was an interesting article on how crazy ( and desperate ) the lobby are getting recently, although the finkelstein thread shows they're still successfully stifling debate
