The Slater siblings wreak their revenge on Deano and Chelsea for stitching up Sean. First, Stacey brawls with Chelsea, then Sean has Deano beaten to a bloody pulp!
Having framed Sean for attacking Patrick in the Minute Mart, Chelsea is left fearing for her life as she realises just how far the ex-soldier is willing to go to clear his name.
“It is war between Sean and Chelsea!” says Tiana Benjamin, who plays her. “Their feud is full of tension and pure hatred.
“Chelsea is going to such lengths to frame Sean because she felt publicly hurt and humiliated by him after their fling. She wants Sean to feel the same things.”
At the start of the week, Stacey visits her brother in jail and is horrified to see that he has been roughed up.
Later, at the Albert Square Fun Day, Stacey tries to convince Deano to tell the police that Chelsea lied when she fingered Sean as Patrick’s attacker.
Suddenly, a vicious cat-fight kicks off with Stacey clawing at Chelsea’s hair.
“Chelsea and Deano have a dark partnership!” explains Tiana. “She pleads with him to say nothing to the police.”
But Sean is desperate to intimidate Deano into retracting his statement.
From his prison cell, he arranges for two thugs to beat Deano senseless in an alley near The Vic.
Chelsea is appalled by the attack - is she the next name on Sean’s hit list?
When Deano reveals he has the missing CCTV footage of Patrick’s attacker legging it from the Minute Mart, Chelsea really panics.
“At first, Chelsea and Deano truly believed Sean must have done it,” adds Tiana. “But the tape doesn’t show what they expect.
“Chelsea is too scared to tell the truth because she has already tampered with evidence, and that’s a criminal offence.”
Finally, Chelsea and Deano agree to send the tape to the police, anonymously. But before she can post it, Chelsea is mugged and her bag is stolen - with the tape inside it!
Gus later finds her bag and returns it to Kevin. Thinking the tape is a movie, Kevin and Carly decide to watch it on their afternoon off.
While Carly nips out to get some popcorn, Kevin hits play and watches in growing disbelief. He has just seen Patrick’s attacker - but who is it?
and from the Mirror :
There are grounds for legal action under the Trade Descriptions Act if this is what passes for a ‘Fun Day’ in Albert Square on Bank Holiday Monday.
Beale The Squeal’s vengeful daughter Lucy serving up dodgy haddock causes an outbreak of food poisoning. Ian furiously complains when he and ‘Mini Me’ son Peter lose the father and son race. Then a donkey chases dippy Hazel for her carrots – and no, that isn’t a reference to her fiance Minty.
Meanwhile, Ma Mo squashes Charlie’s massive marrow when she’s pushed over during a catfight between Stacey and Chelsea – and all because the Slater girl wants her and drippy Deano to withdraw their statements claiming that her brother Sean attacked Patrick in his shop.
‘If they did that topless and covered in mud,’ Roxy comments, ‘they’d make a lot of money.’
The fight for justice, however, becomes even more physical as the alleged ‘Fun Day’ runs into Tuesday, and Deano is beaten up on the orders of Sean from his prison cell.
‘You just go tell Deano an’ that evil cow Chelsea, I’m comin’ for them,’ he snarls at a shocked Carly.
This may make Sean look guilty of attempted murder, but with Deano terrified of more violence, he then produces the CCTV tape from the Minute-Mart and tells Chelsea he’s going to the police.
‘I don’t care what you want,’ he tells Sean’s bitter ex. ‘He didn’t do it. I’m handing this in.’
So if the psycho former soldier is innocent, who did bludgeon Patrick then? All will be revealed on Friday…
ALSO:
When Roxy’s fiance Damian shows up on Monday, she and sister Ronnie come up with a scam so that she doesn’t have to go back to Ibiza with him. They claim Ian has got Roxy pregnant, but they can pass it off as Damian’s. ‘No one will know?’ he demands. ‘Look at ’im. ’Ow could sumfing lookin’ like that ’ave come from me? You tart.’ Snogging Ian to make it more convincing is even too much for Roxy. ‘Ugh,’ she gasps. ‘I need summink. A drink, a mouthwash. That was disgustin’.’
