Controlled explosion of car in front of Glasgow hospital

I've not heard about this - unless it's the story about some apparent 'suicide belt' that the guy who set himself on fire was wearing which was blown up in a field outside the hospital. Turned out it wasn't anything of the sort...

I had a message from a friend in the USA asking me if everyone was panicking over here (the UK).

I replied, "Err, panicking about what?".

He hasn't written back yet.

I expect he's been murdered by terrorists. There's a lot of that going about I hear.
