From Wikipedia : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_William_of_Wales
"After his gap year, Prince William attended the University of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland from 2001, graduating in 2005."
So William took a year out, then started University at 19 and graduated at 23. Normally graduates start University at 18 and graduate at 21 since they can't afford to be out of work for so long.
Also, wonder why his University Degree in Geography & Art should take 4 years. Normal degrees are 3 years. |

No wonder students are scared about affording their time at University. Soon it will only be the very richest (or very poorest on benefits) who could afford to go. |

Most US college's it's a four year degree as well. It actually ended up taking me close to five since I changed major's half way through! Luckily I had graduated high school early so I was still on schedule age wise.
However, my parents had to pay. I did have some scholarships and I was on work study so that helped greatly. As did living at home! |

It isn't every student that can get pissed on 800 pound bottles of bubbly on his state benefits either. |

What's the chances the government will someone use this breakup as an excuse for William not to go to Iraq ?
Either because he is broken hearted (or too drunk after celebrating the break up); or he is distracted from his duties.
With the stepped up warfare (2 UK helicopters collided today, 2 killed, 1 seriously injured), I have no confidence in the government handling this PR disaster of backtracking on his deployment any better than they did the 15 captures sailors.
Or was this breakup to clear the decks for William so if he was intending to break up at some time, no-one would blame the Iraq deployment for causing it .. or if he got killed, no-one would claim his now ex-girlfriend would have been queen one day.
Seeing the news, I have a feeling the break up was to prevent her becoming a new Diana .. wrong class .. and way too pretty ..
p.s. Sunday paper coverage on http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6556819.stm
"The paper also claims there was "snobbishness" among royal courtiers about her background and upbringing."

"William and Kate had fought the constant attention of the paparazzi since they started dating while studying together at the University of St Andrews in Scotland in 2003.
They were housemates with two others in a four-bedroom townhouse during Kate's second year at university.
Kate, who is believed to have had a poster of William pinned to her wall long before she met the second in line to the throne, started dating the prince after breaking off a romance with a friend of his."
mmmm.... that's not nice of Kate [assuming it is true] |

Well, look out for her story, probably coming to the News Of The World near you any day soon. "Kate: My Heartbreak" no doubt accompanied by the obligatory pics of her in her underwear. |

After the sales of the story from 2 of the captured sailors, watch the hypocritical media tear her apart for breach of trust. |
